Turnmill Building

Bronze and Plaster maquette
2014

Created in collaboration with architect Stuart Piercy, the sculpture is a flow diagram which charts the path of a visitor as they move from the street into the office. Its origin is in an instantaneous drawing made of people walking through a revolving doorway. The work articulates the activity of its location and also takes on the buildings’ materials: As the sculpture gently curves out of the ceiling the exposed sides are made from the same polished brass chosen for the elevator doorways beyond.
