Light Projector and Gobo
These are the first photographs that have been created as works in their own right that document a light installation by Hugo Dalton in an exhibition curated by House of The Nobleman.
The setting is a disused slate quarry in remote valley in North East of England. The team lugged a huge generator and projection lanterns across a river and up a mountain to create a spectacular momentary installation that interacts with the quarry’s cavernous form.
‘Each photograph contains the idea of an intangible force of Nature reclaiming this Brutalist form created by man. In each work there is an allusion to our contemporary predicament and the hope of redemption.’ Hugo Dalton
