Mother and Child, 2015
Bronze
117 x 63 x 17cm
Unique
A series of drawings made from life of a mother gently rocking her baby in her arms was the starting point for this wall-based sculpture. The thin bronze curves echo the mother’s gentle, soothing movements, the harmonious; balanced forms capture the intimacy and precariousness of this moment of calm.
